The confessions begin

I have a slight obsession with cloth diapers... and have now for a few months. We (I) started cloth diapering our little girl Clara when she was about a year and a half old. I was pretty excited about it at the time because, hey, it was new and different and no one I knew was doing it. I felt very "green" and "natural". I kind of fell off and got back on the wagon several times as well as added another little baby (Peter) to the mix. I decided to give cloth diapering one more last and final try, doing cloth full time. I wanted to sell the diapers that I had that were too small, but ebay (grrrrr) no longer allows the sale of used cloth diapers (which are perfectly sanitary, just in case you are wondering). So I found the website DiaperSwappers - and so the obsession and need for confession REALLY began.

DiaperSwappers is a message board set up with feedback for "transactions" between members similar to ebay's feedback system. Most people use paypal to exchange money and shipping information. I soon realized I could sell my diapers and buy something new and then if I didn't like those new diapers any more I could sell them again and buy something else.....

I have an intensely addictive personality as well as the curse of hyper focus when I'm very interested in something, so diaperswappers has now become my new "drug". It is sad... I know. But it's the truth and that's what this blog will be all about! My journey with cloth diapers. If you don't cloth diaper, you won't understand it. BUT if you DO, then you will totally know what I'm talking about and giggle and sigh right along with me.

So, those of you who are in the same boat with me I hope you enjoy reading and commenting (which I hope there will be much of!) and for those of you on the other side, I hope it will maybe intrigue you to check it out. Who knew something that got pooped and peed in could be so interesting...
